What is a facial serum?
Compared to lotions and moisturizers which hold in moisture by basically blanketing the face, facial serums are made up of much smaller molecules that have the ability to penetrate far deeper into the skin delivering not just moisture, but also nutrients that improve and enrich the production of new skin from its inception. The result is healthier more nourished skin from the start.
Our Facial Serum is a concentrated blend of highly nutritive, reparative and beautifying oils (including the great equalizer jojoba and miracle moisturize argan) that help restore and maintain balance to the delicate skin of the face. It may seem counterintuitive, but our botanical serum is good for all skin types, even people with oily and problematic skin. The oils are light and absorb quickly, vanishing deep into the pores after only a couple minutes. Consistent use will regulate the skin's production of sebum (natural facial grease) by mimicking the sebum itself.
In time the consistent moisture balance will allow your skin to regenerate evenly, alleviating the frustration of problem areas and safeguarding against dryness---thereby slowing the skin's natural aging process.
Come to think of it, maybe we should call this stuff a potion.
Directions for Use:
**Never apply the facial serum without first thoroughly washing the face: if the pores are not opened, you'll just be wasting the product. After you've washed the face in warm water and patted dry, apply 3-4 drops of Facial Serum (1 to each cheek, 1 to forehead, 1 to chin) and gently rub them into the skin. Allow to absorb. (using too much will only waste more product and cause your face to appear greasy: the pores are tiny and relatively shallow. REMEMBER: a little goes a long way)

What does Red Hook smell like?
Red Hook smells like Bay Rum with hints of Cardomom and Citrus. Together these spicy essences create a complex aroma suggestive of cinnamon's swashbuckling older brother.
Why Name a scent Red Hook?
The historical home of industrial factories and warehouses, a navy yard and a cruise terminal, Red Hook is the current home to a burgeoning enclave of young artists and fringe creatives. We wanted to create a smell that is uplifting and thought-provoking, that would reflect not only the passion and raw talent of Red Hook's newest denizens, but also pay tribute to the neighborhood's nautical and industrial roots. Based on a classic Bay Rum recipe, Red Hook's aromatic balance was meant to be at once both modern and timeless, with an extra something imparting the fragrance with an air of familiarity and mystery, honoring and celebrating past and future.
